WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Former Ossining High School baseball coach Bill Casey, a Mahopac resident who grew up in Pleasantville, died Friday after battling cancer. He was 46.
Casey, who was a middle-school teacher in Ossining since 2004, had earlier worked as a sportswriter in Westchester.
The Pleasantville High School graduate was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in October 2014.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.
Casey leaves behind a wife, Kelly, and 4-year-old twins.
