Benjamin Acker, 92, Formerly Of Ossining

OSSINING, N.Y. – Benjamin Acker, a former Ossining resident, died July 19 surrounded by family. He was 92. 

He was born June 17, 1920 in Ossining to Benjamin and Dorothy Penrose Acker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a master's degree from New York University. Acker worked for MGM United Artists as a vice president of taxes in New York City. He was most recently of Crown Point, N.Y. 

A graveside service was held Monday morning at Dale Cemetery in Ossining. Leach and Thomas Funeral Home in Ossining was in charge of arrangements.
