Through Theaddeus, Teatown aims to increase its impact in underserved communities through environmental education. The hiring comes courtesy of a generous grant from the Land Trust Alliance.
Thaddeus holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University and a master's degree in elementary education and the Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University.
Her experience includes founding and developing the curriculum for the Cien Aguas International School in Albuquerque, N.M. She has also served as a consultant for Dual Language Education of New Mexico.
“We believe that everyone can benefit from experiential learning in nature to become lifelong environmental stewards and we are committed to breaking down barriers for populations in our area which might not know about or take advantage of those opportunities due to language barriers," said Teatown’s Executive Director Kevin Carter. "Through the support of the Land Trust Alliance, Teatown has been able to hire a Bilingual Science Coordinator who can help expand our impact for the benefit of the whole community.”
