"In the Voice of Our Mothers," a play focusing on traditional Biblical stories, will be performed at 3 p.m. Sept. 29 at Mariandale in Ossining. The play is set to support Mariandale outreach programs that help serve the "spiritual needs of the marginalized and underserved in our communities," according to a press release from the group.

The play is written and directed by master teacher Carol Fox Prescott. The show "breathes life into ancient texts, covering traditional Biblical stories through the lives of the women, our Old Testament matriarchs," according to the release.

"Rachel, Sarah, Miriam, Rebecca and Leah invite you into their world, to witness their very intimate, personal, powerful – feminine stories and thereby see your own life with enriched perception," according to the release.

Veteran actresses Yvonne Brechbuhler, Ann Fleuchaus, Carole Forma, Elizabeth Haag and Libby Skala will perform as the matriarchs with Renata Hinrichs serving as the choreographer and Justin Cornell as the stage manager.

"In the Voice of Our Mothers" will be performed at Mariandale Retreat and Conference Center, a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, in Ossining. Tickets are $30. Space is limited.

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling (914) 941-4455 ext. 0. For more information or reservations, or visit the Mariandale Website
