At the high school, a new art space was finished. The art space consists of four classrooms on the lower level, replacing locker rooms and wrestling space.
At Anne M. Dorner Middle School, the old principal's office and guidance space were converted into a classroom and a new faculty and copy room were built. Guidance counselors’ offices are now located where dean’s office used to be with the goal of making it more accessible to students and families.
At the Roosevelt school, a new floor in the gymnasium was installed and the nurse's office was expanded. Cafeteria renovations are scheduled to begin soon.
A new roof was installed at Brookside School and Claremont School saw the replacement of rooftop heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
Ossining anticipates starting a classroom addition project at Park School later this year.
“Our buildings are ready and they really do look great," Superintendent Raymond Sanchez said. They’ll look even better as our students enter and our buildings and grounds staff finish up the work. I want to thank them for their hard work over the summer.”
