Ossining Issues Call For Volunteers For Boards, Committees

OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Village of Ossining is actively seeking residents to fill several open seats on a variety of leadership councils and boards.

While each of the nine volunteer councils are unique in their scope and function, they share a common mission: To use volunteer time and talent to make the Village of Ossining a place in which all residents are proud to live, learn, work, and play. 

  • Volunteers are needed on the following: 
  • Planning Board
  • Zoning Board of Appeals
  • Historic Preservation Commission
  • Environmental Advisory Council
  • Civilian Police Complaint Review Board
  • Board of Ethics
  • Landlord-Tenant Relations Council
  • Downtown Economic Fund Council
  • Recreation Advisory Board 
  • Village Arts Committee.

 “Ossining is a vibrant community rich in talent and spirit and we believe it takes a village to run a village,” says Village Manager, Abe Zambrano. “So we’re inviting our talented citizenry to get involved - to help shape local government and enrich their community by serving in a volunteer leadership capacity.”
