PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A man out on bail in connection with an Ossining home invasion, has been arrested again in Peekskill.

Steven Garcia, an 18-year old Verplanck resident along with Quameik Boyd, an 18-year old Peekskill resident, were arrested by Detective John Bennet on Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. and charged with robbery, a class B felony,, according to Peekskill police.

On Sept. 20 at 4:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of armed robbery at East Coast Provisions, a seafood distributor, at 1698 Main St., according to Peekskill police.

An employee told police a man entered the back office of the business, put a gun to her head and demanded money. The suspect made off with checks and cash, according to police.

Byrd and Garcia were arrested after a three week investigation. Byrd was a former employee of East Coast Provisions, police said.

According to Lt. John White, Byrd is alleged to have conducted the robbery while Garcia acted as getaway driver and planned the robbery.

Police have not recovered the gun, though it was similar to a gun Garcia was accused of using in the Ossining home invasion.

Garcia was one of three men arrested in a home invasion on Denny Street. in Ossining that ended up placing Ossining schools on lockout for 30 minutes three weeks ago. Garcia was charged with robbery in the first-degree and burglary, both felonies.

Garcia is being held without bail in Peekskill. Byrd is being held on $250,000 cash bail.
