OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining Town Board does not support the "Payment in Lieu of Taxes" (PILOT) proposal put forward by the developer of Harbor Square, according to a Patch report.
The board's opinion is that PILOT is meant for business growth, not property development, according to a statement made by Supervisor Susanne Donnelly.
The town would lose $2.3 million in tax revenue if the developer was released from its obligation, according to the statement.
