An investigation is underway after a fatal motor-vehicle crash overnight on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County.
It happened around 2:25 a.m. Sunday northbound near Miller Hill Road (Exit 35) when the victim's vehicle is believed to have been struck by a falling tree, state police said. The vehicle then left the roadway and overturned and the operator was pronounced dead at the scene, police added.
