OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Child Care Council of Westchester recently announced the appointments of three new board members.
The nonprofit resource organization that gives children of Westchester care and education appointed April Lasher Sanders, Sue D'Emic and Korey R. Kross to its Board of Directors.
Sanders, of Hawthorne, is a Vice President and Senior Business Banker at M&T Bank’s Tarrytown regional headquarters, where she "counsels, educates and advocates for clients and prospects, and uses her 25 years of banking experience to expand the bank’s footprint within the business community," representatives said.
D’Emic, of Ossining, is the Senior Vice President, Controller at Time Inc., a Time Warner Company, responsible for all accounting, financial reporting and treasury operations.
"She previously served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer for Frontier Communications, a fortune 500 company, which has approximately $5 billion in revenues and tripled in size in 2010 due to its acquisition of certain Verizon properties," representatives said in a press release.
Kross, of Norwalk, Conn., is a Managing Director at Clarfeld Wealth Strategists and Financial Confidantes.
"He leads the income tax division, managing the process, delivery, and administration of a highly sophisticated and high volume tax compliance practice," representatives said in the release. "An attorney as well as a seasoned tax advisor, Kross has been providing comprehensive tax advice to wealthy clients in the U.S. and internationally for over 15 years."
Child Care Council of Westchester CEO Kathy Halas said she was pleased with the appointment of the new board members.
“Our Board members are an integral part of our organization, connecting us with new ideas and new resources,” said Halas in the release. “Korey, April and Sue bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience, and we’re excited about their contributions.”
