She was born on Jan. 8, 1965, in Elmira, N.Y. and raised in Mawah, N.J.
Pitillo attended Mahwah High School and was on its track team, before she transferred to Northern Heights Regional High School. After high school, Pitillo arrived in New York, where she performed in television commercials.
Over the years, she appeared in "The Lost Cappone, Escape from Terror:The Therea Stamper Story" (1995), "Partners" (1995), "Dear God" (1996), "Something to Believe In" (1998), and "Godzilla (1998), among others.
In 2002, Pitillo married David R. Fortney. They currently live in Ross, California and Pitillo decided to retire from full-time acting in 2006 to raise her family and operate a small business with her husband.
She is an alumna of Playhouse WEst School and Repertory Theater.
