Haley is "a powerhouse" says Jessica Irons, artistic director at Theater O. "When I first met her, Haley did a dead on impression of Carol Burnett. So I knew she would rock the Improv class, and of course she did. But Haley can make you cry too. She is a genuine actress who makes honest, clear choices."
"She performed a monologue from "Elephant" by Margie Stokley that riveted her audience. For her final presentation, she is performing a section of "This Property is Condemned" by Tennessee Williams. She is 11. Her performances are nuanced, physically specific and she is a great listener on and off stage," Irons says.
Julie Griffin, Haley's Improv teacher says, "It has been such a pleasure working with Haley. She is a natural talent that makes teaching easy. She is funny and bright and extremely quick on her feet."
"She is also a very thoughtful actress who is mindful of the other players on stage with her, and allows them to shine as well. It has been wonderful to watch her grow as an actress and I can't wait to see her talents soar in the future," Griffin says.
"I have always wanted to take dramatic acting classes," Haley says about Theater O . "When I heard that Theater O was opening, I felt like it was my chance to get involved in an acting program. Theater O has taught me how to express myself as an actor and I have learned so much from my talented and fun teachers."
In December, Haley will be performing as Dot, Cinderella's Fairy God Mother from Fairygodmothers.com.
