'Wine Around Town' Kicks Off Chappaqua Winter Festival

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – “Keep the Cheer Here in Chappaqua & Millwood” winter festival, sponsored by the Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce, kicks off with “Wine Around Town” Friday, Dec. 4 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in downtown Chappaqua.

The Chappaqua-Millwood Chamber of Commerce’s first annual “Wine Around Town” event will feature participating shops and businesses hosting free wine tastings, along with light snacks such of cheese, crackers and fruit. The hamlet will transform into different wine regions – Champagne on King Street, a California Chardonnay on Greeley and Italian Pinot Grigio at the top of King Street. There will be 66 wines to taste.

The event is free of charge and the public is invited to attend. There will be a check-in table at 15 King St,. participants must be over age 21. A free trolley service will be offered to transport people throughout the hamlet stopping at  Bank of America, William Raveis, Cathy’s Hair Room and Center for Aligned Healing.

The evening will be highlighted by special musical performances from The Mike Risko Band at Hip Kid, 77 South Greeley Avenue at 7 p.m., and a trio from The Chappaqua Orchestra at Sherry B, 65 King St at 7:30 p.m.

There will be drink specials at Le Jardin du Roi, Chappaqua Tavern, Chappaqua Station, Old Stone Trattoria, and Quaker Hill Tavern

Parking is available at the Bell School. 

On Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., downtown Chappaqua will become a Winter Wonderland. The public is invited to take a walking tour highlighted by the Holiday Windows, meet Santa Claus, check out the ice sculpture show, view the tree lighting and shop for holiday gifts.
