“Among the Ten Thousand Things” tells the story of Jack Shanley, a New York artist, and his wife, Deb, who leaves her career as a dancer to raise their two children. Years later, a cardboard box containing printed e-mails detailing Jack’s secret life arrive at the Shanley’s. Although addressed to Deb, the letters end up in the hands of their children.

Copies of the book can be picked up at the front desk of the library. Evening Adult Booktalk meets the last Monday of the month and is led by library director Maureen Cuschieri. Approximately 5-10 members show for each gathering.

The Norwood Public Library also offers an Afternoon Adult Booktalk at 1 p.m. one Friday a month, led by librarian Ann McInerney. Adult Booktalk will resume in the fall.

The Norwood Public Library is at 198 Summit St., Norwood.
