OSSINING, N.Y. – “Trailblazers in Habits,” a new documentary covering the work of the Maryknoll Sisters, the first U.S.-based congregation of Catholic women dedicated to foreign missions, will have its Westchester premiere on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Ossining Public Library at 7 p.m.
Admission is free and light refreshments will follow the screening. Produced by award-winning filmmaker Nancy Tong, the film tells the century-spanning story of the congregation’s work in education, health care, and social justice throughout the world
Production of the film was almost entirely funded by donations from the thousands who attended Maryknoll schools around the world.
