Gloria Frasco, 90, Of Haverstraw
HAVERSTRAW, N.Y.-- Gloria Frasco, 90, of Haverstraw, died Dec. 16.
Frasco was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Danbury, Conn. She moved to Haverstraw when she was 13 and she graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1943. She worked for the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Church, was a member of the Haverstraw Senior Citizens and was a volunteer at the Haverstraw Brick Museum.
Frasco was predeceased by her husband, Augustus (Gus) in 2003 and her daughter, Stephanie in 1984.

Doris Hassett Link, 88, Of Orangeburg
ORANGEBURG, N.Y.-- Doris Hassett Link, 88, of Orangeburg, died Dec. 15 at Northern Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet.
Link was born July 5, 1927, in Jamaica, Queens, New York.
Link was an avid animal lover.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Gertrude Heffernan.
Link is survived by her son, Bryan Hassett; her two brothers, Bert Heffernan and Roy Heffernan; and her brother-in-law Gerald Hassett.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Parish Church, 36 W. Nyack Road, Nanuet, followed by Internment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Mercedes T. Herber, 89, Beacon Resident
BEACON, N.Y.-- Mercedes T. Herber of Beacon died Dec. 10. She was 89.
Herber was born in Lima, Peru.
She is predeceased by her parents, Issac and Dora Aspiecueta.
Herber is survived by her husband Franklin P. Herber, her son Joseph Espinoza of Florida, her sister Gloria Vignolo, her grandson, Christopher Espinosa, one great-grandchild, two stepsons, Jacob and Nathan L. Herber, one stepdaughter, Lillian Baxter, her niece Glorita Vignolo and her nephew Silvio Vignolo.
Graveside services were held Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
Dorothy Garay Rose, 89, Fishkill Resident
FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Dorothy Garay Rose, a longtime resident of Fishkill, died Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was 89.
Rose was born June 11, 1926, in Glastonbury, Conn. She worked for the Travelers Insurance in Hartford and later for Mid-Hudson Medical Group in the OB/GYN office.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Sophie Condel Garay; her husband, Douglas J. Rose who died in 2005; and a sister, Nellie Phillips.
She is survived by her brother, John Garay; her niece Susanne Scanlon; her nephew Donald Garay; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Helen Baker, 85, Lifelong Resident of Port Chester
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Helen Baker, a lifelong Port Chester resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 16. She was 85.Baker was born Nov. 21, 1930, and was raised and educated in Port Chester.
Baker was an administrative assistant for General Foods in White Plains for over 35 years and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church.
Baker was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Dennler Baker.
Baker is survived by a nephew, Michael Baker of New Hampshire; and a cousin Eileen McDowell, of Greenwich, Conn.

Salvatore Firrincieli, 85. Sleepy Hollow Resident
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Salvatore Firrincieli of Sleepy Hollow died Dec. 16. He was 85.
Firrincieli was born June 27, 1930, in Sicily. He worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed family, fishing, gardening and creating art with his mechanical abilities.
Firrincielli is survived by his wife, Giovanna; two daughters, Maria Rosa and her husband Bobby Camia of Briarcliff Manor, and Sylvana of Sleepy Hollow; a daughter-in-law Laura Firrincieli of Mahopac; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin (her husband Ryan Sanford) and Andrew Camia, Robert, Matthew, and Stephen Firrincieli.

Syrilda Helgren, 100, Lifelong Resident of Larchmont
LARCHMONT, N.Y.-- Syrilda Carribine Helgren, a lifelong resident of Larchmont, died Wednesday, Dec. 16. She was 100.
Helgren was born in Brooklyn and moved to Larchmont in 1918. She graduated from Mamaroneck High School and later received a bachelor’s degree from Cortland College. She married Dr. Robert E. Helgren in 1940.
Helgren enjoyed swimming, dancing, needlepoint and family.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years; her daughter, Terry Rainaldi, and son, David Helgren; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
There was a private funeral service.
Kevin F. McGuire, 54, Pearl River Resident
PEARL RIVER, N.Y.-- Kevin F. McGuire of Pearl River died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 15. He was 54.
McGuire was born Nov. 12, 1961, and was a longtime resident of Pearl River. He was the owner of Troy Com in Pearl River.
On Nov. 15, 1986, he married Eleanor Mazzucco at St. Aedan’s Church in Pearl River. Locally, he was also a carpenter, a Mr. Fix-it, appearing on Channel 8 News repairing a house in Piermont.
He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Barbara McGuire.
He is survived by his wife; and his children, Ed of Rochester, and Billy and Kylie of Pearl River.
