Inspire Nyack Donates $40,000 For High School Mac Lab Computers

VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- The Foundation to Inspire Excellence in Nyack Schools donated $40,000 Tuesday night to the district to fund the purchase of equipment for the Mac Lab. Students learn to create music, visual art, and graphic designs in the lab. The organization has raised a total of $80,000 toward the program.

Middle School Principal David Johnson and Joe Fusaro presented a proposal to the board to start the Mac Lab in the middle school in 2017.

"There's no reason students have to wait until high school to have this experience," said Johnson.

The Foundation to Inspire Excellence In Nyack Schools (Inspire Nyack) will host its 9th Annual Casino Night on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Nyack Seaport for Cultural Events in Nyack, New York. The event will be held from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM. Funds from the event will go towards the funding of educational enrichment programs in the Nyack School District.
