Willow Grove Elementary School on Storrs Road was closed on Tuesday, Jan. 22 due to a water main break, the Northern Rockland School District announced. Officials said a pipe burst leading up to the water meter outside the school on Storrs Road, prompting the closure.
Instead of reporting to Willow Grove, students were told to report to the Fieldstone Middle School on Fieldstone Drive in Thiells for classes.
The cause of the break has not been disclosed. Crews from SUEZ were on site early on Tuesday to repair the break, which is expected to be remedied by the end of the day.
