ORANGEBURG, N. Y. -- A 30-year-old Tappan man is facing drug and driving while inmpaired charges after Orangetown police responded to a call Saturday, March 12, about an unconscious man in a car at the corner of Orangeburg Road and Western Highway, police said.
Matthew R. Tracy is charged with driving while impaired with drugs, unlicensed operation, and criminal possession of drugs and a hypodermic needle -- all misdemeanors. Police said they found one deck of heroin, a needle and an Ambien.
Police said he failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was taken to Nyack Hospital. He's due in Orangetown Justice Court on March 23, police said.
