ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. – A Pearl River man who crashed his car into another on Route 17 early Friday had cocaine and pot stashed in a backpack, police in New Jersey said.
Rochelle Park Officer Brian Gallina smelled burnt marijuana coming from a car driven by Matthew Bosco, 20, following the crash just after 8 8 a.m., Lt. Dean Pinto said.
In plain view was a glass bong and the backpack, Pinto said.
Inside the pack police found three baggies of cocaine, a large sandwich bag filled with marijuana, two baggies with 10 Xanax pills, four vials of THC oil and various drug paraphernalia, he said.
Bosco was released on a summons pending a hearing on drug charges.
