PEARL RIVER, N. Y. -- A 48-year-old New City man is facing a resisting arrest charge after police used a Taser to arrest him for a parole violation Tuesday, April 26, in Pearl River, police said.
Anthony Russo is being held in Rockland County Jail on the warrant for the parole violation, and is due to appear at a later date at Orangetown Justice Court on the misdemeanor resisting arrest charge, police said.
He was treated and released at Nyack Hospital for his injuries in the fight with officers, police said. Orangetown police spotted him Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot at ShopRite in Pearl River, police said.
