Man Found With Open Container Charged With Drug Possession In Orangetown

NYACK, N.Y. — A Nanuet man was charged early Sunday morning morning with drinking from an open container and having drugs, Orangetown Police said.

Police, at 4:05 a.m., found Sanon Anderson, 27, drinking from an open container of alcohol on Artopee Way, they said.

He was reportedly then found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and a quantity of alleged marijuana, according to police.

Anderson was taken to Police Headquarters and charged with: seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana and open container of alcohol, both violations, said police.

He was released with a court date in Nyack of Dec. 8.
