Man Charged With Making False Statement To Police After Orangeburg Crash

A 29-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly making a false statement to police following a crash in Orangeburg.

Orangetown Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the Hamlet of Orangeburg on Tuesday, Feb. 12 around 6:45 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that Michael Gynegrowski of Rivervale, New Jersey provided a falsified written statement to the officer.

Gynegrowski was arrested and charged with making a false written statement, a misdemeanor. He was ticketed and released. Gynegrowski is scheduled to return to Orangetown Justice Court on Wednesday, March 13.
