ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – A Haverstraw man faces weapons and drug charges after he was stopped in Nyack recently, Orangetown police said.
Damarr Reid, 19, was pulled over on Route 9W on Wednesday, Feb. 17, and after being found in possession of a switchblade knife and marijuana, was arrested, police said.
The weapons charge is a misdemeanor and the pot charge, a violation, police said.
Reid, who was wanted on an unrelated warrant, was turned over the Haverstraw police, authorities said.
He is to appear in court on March 22.
Orangetown police also reported the arrest of a Nyack man for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Anthony Nworah, 65, borrowed a car but failed to return it, police said.
He is due in court to answer the misdemeanor charge on March 9, police said.
