Fairfield Man Faces Assault Charge After Incident With Girlfriend At Area Hotel, Police Say

A Fairfield man faces an assault charge after allegedly beating up his girlfriend at an area hotel.

Michael Ignatowski, 47, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 5, after Milford Police responded to a local hotel for a report of domestic violence, the department said.

Once on the scene, police found that Ignatowski allegedly struck his girlfriend several times in the face and head area, police said.

Ignatowski was charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

He was released on a promise to appear ticket.
