PEARL RIVER, N.Y. — Pearl River resident Elizabeth C. Geraghty died on Monday, May 2. She was 86.
Born in Ireland, Geraghty came to the U.S. in 1959 and achieved citizenship in 1997.
She worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Frederick Schroeder for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Yakich and nephew Edward Yakich Jr.
Geraghty was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1995.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 AM on Friday, May 6 at St. Aedan's R.C.Church, 23 S. Reld Drive, in Pearl River.
Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
Visiting will be held on Thursday, May 5 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Franklin Ave., in Pearl River.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity or church of the donor's choice.
