ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Rockland County Motorists are advised that the Palisades Interstate Parkway northbound between Exit 5N and Exit 5S and the northbound ramp to the Parkway from Route 303 in the town of Orangetown are expected to close while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.
The Route 303 northbound ramp to the Palisades Interstate Parkway is expected to be closed from 9 p.m. on Monday, March 28, to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29. The Palisades Interstate Parkway northbound is expected to be closed from 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 28, to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours, but anticipate delays. Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
