NYACK, N.Y. -- A South Nyack task force is expected to unveil four concepts at a Village Board meeting Tuesday and to recommend ideas for parking, bikers and walkers when the Tappan Zee Bridge opens in three years, according to lohud.com.
The task force has worked on the ideas/concepts to try to cover all of the needs for residents and visitors. The sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Living Christ Church at 151 S. Broadway in Nyack.
During the presentation, the task force plans to recommend a concept, but trustees likely won't vote on it until early next year following input from the public, reported lohud.com.
Thruway Authority Executive Director Robert Megna said the first priority was to solve the parking issues with the state estimating 54 parking spaces per hour will be needed during peak times in Rockland and a 100 spaces will be needed in Tarrytown.
