RAMSEY, N.J. — Ramsey Police Sergeant Vasili Pieratos had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when he crashed his car into a Park Ridge tree Wednesday morning, NorthJersey.com reports.
The 43-year-old was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving, the article says. He was also issued a summons for unsafe lane change, according to the article.
Pieratos lost control of his 2016 Mercedes-Benz on Kinderkamack Road by Highland Street when he crashed, according to NorthJersey.com.
