Orange and Rockland Bills Set To Increase $11/Month On Average

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Keeping warm will cost a little more this winter for many Rockland County resident after a rate hike by Orange and Rockland Utilities for both gas and electric, according to lohud.com.

O&R customers will see their bills go up by a combined average of more than $11 per month starting next month, said lohud.com.

The overall bill for a residential electric customer will increase an average of $1.85 per month, from $135.86 to $137.71 according to O&R, reported lohud.com.

Natural gas bills for a residential full-service customer will increase an average of $9.67 per month, from $132.96 to $142.63, the story said.

More than 80 percent of the company's 112,600 electric and 90,000 gas customers receive both services, lohud.com said.
