NYACK, N.Y. -- The Nyack village Board of Trustees rejected a plan offered by Helmer Cronin to add two more floors to a proposed condo, according to the nyacknewsandviews.com.
The trustees unanimously opposed letting the builder add the two floors to the proposed TZ Vista condos but agreed that the zoning code for that neighborhood should be examined, added nyacknewsandviews.com.
Despite rejecting Helmer Cronin’s proposal, Mayor Jen Laird White praised the construction firm for its efforts, saying the developers have shown they are open to input from the public and the board, said nyacknewsandviews.com.
She also thanked the public for its input. In the months before last week's meeting, about 700 people had signed an online “Leave Nyack’s Waterfront Zoning Alone” petition opposing the developer’s request, reported nyacknewsandviews.com.
