Patrice Germain, 52, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted at trial last year of first-degree raping a woman in his Brentwood home in June 2018. He will also serve 10 years of post-release supervision and will register as a sex offender.
Specifically, Germain was found guilty of first-degree criminal sexual act, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and criminal obstruction of breathing, Suffolk County District Attorney Anthony Sini announced.
In June 2018, Germain contacted his victim, posing as a television executive seeking potentially actresses and performers, Sini said. He then arranged to meet his victim and bring them to his “production studio,” which was actually his Long Island residence.
Germain proceeded to pick her up at the airport, became combative toward her and refused to take her to her hotel. He instead was convicted of taking her to his home, raping her, sexually abusing and choking her. As a result of the attack, Germain’s victim suffered internal bleeding and other injuries.
"This is a depraved individual who preyed upon the victim by exploiting her aspirations," Sini said. "He lured her to his home under false pretenses then brutally raped her. “This sexual predator is facing a significant prison sentence and justice has been served for the victim."
