ID Released For 27-Year-Old Killed In Drive-By Long Island Shooting

A 27-year-old man shot and killed outside of a Long Island home has been identified.

Justin Gottlieb of Plainview was killed during a drive-by shooting around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, on Margaret Drive East in Plainview, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting and located Gottlieb, who had been shot multiple times.

Gottlieb was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician. 

Detectives believe a light-colored vehicle may be involved in the incident and request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
