Hip-Hop Party, Films Among Things To Do Around Nyack This Weekend

NYACK, N.Y. -- No foolin’, there are lots of things to do around Nyack this first weekend in April, according to nyacknewsandviews.com.

A film about Israeli singer/songwriter David Broza, "East Jerusalem West Jerusalem," will be screened this weekend as part of the Jewish Film Festival at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern.

On Saturday, Prohibition River, a gastropub at 82 Main St., will host a Hip-Hop party to benefit the town’s Skateboard Scholarship program. It runs from 9 p.m.-midnight and costs $10. Ages 21 and older, only.

On Sunday, the Jewish Film Festival will screen “East Jerusalem West Jerusalem,” a film about Israeli’s answer to Bruce Springsteen, musician David Broza. It runs from 7-9 p.m. at Lafayette Theater, 97 Lafayette Ave., Suffern.
