NYACK, N.Y. -- The former Stop and Shop in Nyack may re-open as a supermarket this spring, according to a report in lohud.
The grocery store, which had been located in the Hub Shopping Center on Route 59, was done in by competing supermarkets several years ago, the lohud story said.
Two of the three competitors have also since closed, lohud reported.
The owner of several independent supermarkets in New York City has filed a permit application with Nyack and is now conducting market studies to determine the kind of products he will sell there, lohud reported.
