Red Hook Student Eliminated After National Spelling Bee Semifinals

RED HOOK, N.Y. --  An eighth-grader at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook made it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee but was eliminated in Thursday's semifinals, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

Alexandra B. Snyder was one of 284 participants age 6-14 from 50 states who traveled to National Harbor, MD for the competition, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

She lost out on the written test scores, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.
