MILLERTON, N.Y. – A Millerton man who served in the Iraq War and suffered serious injuries will be getting his own 'smart home,' according to TWC News.

Stephen Valyou suffered injuries to his lungs and liver when he was shot by a sniper in Iraq, and he is paralyzed from the waist down, TWC News reported.

His new home will be built to his modifications and can be controlled through an iPad, reported TWC News.

The home is being built through the efforts of the Tunnels For Towers organization, which aids military and first responders.
