To the Editor,
Michael Whitton is running for Clinton Town Board, and he has my vote.
Over the last few months, I've come to know Michael and his family. Through our interactions, Michael has proven himself to be a good, decent man who cares about the people in his community, the Clinton community where he grew up, where he works, lives, and where his children have gone to school.
When I have voiced my concerns on local issues, Michael listens, and hunts for solutions. We’ve discussed my concerns regarding the poor cell phone connectivity in our neighborhood, and the inability to reach rescue workers in the event of an emergency.
Michael has suggested that water reports from home purchases to be collected by our town for early detection of poor water quality.
Michael is a proponent for protecting our environment, for the enjoyment of our future generations and the safety of our current residents, advocating for the Climate Smart Communities Program.
He wants to ensure our tax dollars are used wisely and transparently; I believe Michael will be a fair and judicious advocate for fiscal responsibility given that he owns his own business.
All these concerns remind me that local elections are important. Please consider voting for Michael Whitton for Clinton Town Board. I believe he is a sensible candidate with a fresh voice, and I encourage all of my neighbors to meet him in-person or through WhittonforClinton.com.
