DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police in Dutchess County have arrested a 29-year-old woman accused of allegedly endangering the welfare of a special needs child she was tasked with taking care of.
On Wednesday, state police in Rhinebeck announced the arrest of Germantown resident Margaret White, who is accused of shoving and cursing at a special needs child in her care during the course of her employment on March 27.
White was charged with a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Town of Red Hook Court on Thursday, April 27.
