Two Women From Dutchess Nabbed For Endangering Welfare Of Disabled Person

Two home caregivers tasked with taking care of a physically disabled person were arrested this week after allegedly endangering their patient’s welfare.

New York State Police troopers in Kingston arrested Poughkeepsie residents LaCher Rhodes, 41, and Allysha Ebanks, 31, who were both charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, a felony.

According to police, the were made after an investigation by the New York State Police and the Justice Center For the Protection of People with Special Needs into an incident that occurred in the Kingston in November last year.

Following their arraignment, both Rhodes and Ebanks were released and are scheduled to appear in the City of Kingston Court on Thursday, Jan. 24 to respond to the charges.
