Six From Dutchess Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

In total, State Police in Troop K arrested 21 allegedly impaired drivers over the weekend in the Hudson Valley.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Nov. 16, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Dennis W. Lawrence, 41, of Pleasant Valley, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, a felony, DWI, and Operation of a Vehicle without an Interlock Device, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on State Route 44 in the town of Pleasant Valley, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 16, State Police from Wappinger arrested Schimeon Frederick, 27, of Fishkill, for DWI. He was traveling on Cedar Hill Road in the town of Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 16, State Police from Wappinger arrested Joseph Litchauer, 54, of East Fishkill, for DWI. He was traveling on Hillside Lake Road in the town of East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Somers arrested Patrick J. Collins, 29, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 100 in the town of Somers, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Dover Plains arrested John Colgan, 28, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI with a previous conviction within ten years, a felony. He was found in the parking lot of a closed business at approximately 1:50 a.m. in the town of Pleasant Valley. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Livingston arrested Inga C. Conyngham, 23, of Tivoli, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 9G in the town of Red Hook, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Saturday, Nov. 16, State Police from Somers arrested Brendan M. O’Brien, 30, of Putnam Valley, for DWI. He was found on Tomahawk Street in the town of Somers, sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle while it was still in gear. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Dover Plains arrested Dare S. Studevant, 57, of Putnam Valley,, or DWI with a previous conviction within ten years, a felony. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Pawling, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Somers arrested Katherine Weaver, 37, of Carmel, for DWI. She was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford, when she became disabled due to a flat tire. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Orange County

  • On Monday, Nov. 18, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Jordan C. Scarlett, 24, of Harriman, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Lagrange, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Brewster arrested Marcelo Ferreira Santos, 29, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17, State Police from Stormville arrested Luis G. Cordova Lopez, 36, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
