Red Hook Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Hyde Park

A Red Hook man was killed in a single-vehicle crash after smashing into a tree.

Matthew M. Teixeira, 48, was found unconscious inside his vehicle around 2:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 in the area of 59 East Market St., said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson.

Teixeira was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
