Pleasant Valley resident Jessica McLean, 34, is facing several charges after a strange scene unfolded between her and members of the New York State Police Traffic Incident Management Unit who were attempting to stop her for speeding on Route 82, according to police.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, troopers were monitoring traffic on Route 82 in the vicinity of North Clove Road when they reported “observing a vehicle pass the location at a high rate of speed and with an expired New York State inspection sticker,” prompting the attempted traffic stop.
According to police, McLean came to a stop in her driveway and attempted to flee on foot, before being quickly apprehended following a brief struggle. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that McLean was intoxicated and was operating her vehicle with revoked driving privileges due to former DWI arrests.
LaGrange EMS was called to the scene and transported McLean to Mid-Hudson Medical Center for treatment and an evaluation, state police said.
McLean was charged with a felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, all misdemeanors. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Town of Union Vale Court on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
