A mother has been charged with DWI and her daughter with drug possession after a traffic stop on Route 22, police say.
Officers with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department say they observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road in the area of 1010 State Route 22 in the town of Southeast on Thursday, Sept. 5 around 6 p.m.

Police say the vehicle contained concentrated cannabis allegedly belonging to Turen’s daughter, Amber Holic, 19, who had arrived on the scene.
Turen and Holic were arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional facility for processing. Turen was charged with operating a motor vehicle while having a BAC of .08 or more, a misdemeanor, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Holic was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
Both suspects were released on their own recognizance and have been scheduled to return to the Town of Southeast Justice Court.
