She was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Nevis, the daughter of the late Parker and Mabel Scism.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Santmire and his wife Patty, Richard Santmire and his wife Sharon and Barbara Vanden Broek and her husband, Donald; nine grandchildren, Daphne Roderick, Courtney Santmire, Tyler Santmire, Elizabeth Oakley, Sean Corrigan, Matthew Corrigan, Amy Vanden Broek, Sarah Vanden Broek and Christopher Vanden Broek; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd; daughter, Jean Nedved; and sister, Ruth Kozak.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Hyde Park, 1 Church St. Hyde Park The Rev. Kregg Gabor will officiate. Burial will follow at the Red Church Cemetery in Tivoli.
