Stanley E. Brose, 97, of Rhinebeck

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. – Stanley E. Brose of Montgomery, a longtime Rhinebeck resident, died Thursday, Feb. 23. He was 97.

Brose retired as president of Brose Off-Set Lithographic Corp. in Manhattan in 1983.

He also was a member and a Master Mason at Pioneer Lodge 70 of Free and Accepted Masons in Hackensack, N.J.; a member of the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, and the Oritani Field Club in Hackensack.

He was born in New York City on Sept. 21, 1919 to the late Adolph J. and May (Dahlke) Brose.

He is survived by a daughter, Jean Heather Conley, and her husband, Joseph, of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Thomas Rikert of Mill Valley, Calif., Jennifer Rikert of Hyde Park, Joseph Conley of Amesbury, Mass., and Jonathan Conley of West Roxbury, Mass.; a son in law; Dale (Julie) Rikert of Red Hook; several nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Stanley was predeceased by daughter Linda G. Rikert; two brothers, Adolf and King; a sister, Mary E. Pollock.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Rhinebeck Cemetery, 3 Mill Road, Rhinebeck.

Rev. Sonja Maclary will officiate.

There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements were handled by Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 91 E. Market St., Rhinebeck.
