Roger T. Andersen, 68, Of Hyde Park

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Roger T. Andersen, 68, of Hyde Park, died Sunday, Oct. 30.

He was born March 13, 1948, in New Haven, Conn., the son of the late Frank and Edith Andersen. 

He worked as a senior technical specialist at IBM in Fishkill, where he was a member of the quarter century club. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed traveling, spending time with his friends, listening to live music and dancing. 

He is survived by his daughter, Alora Kauffman and her husband Al and their son Logan; daughter, Arlene Nelso and her husband Peter and their children Cadence, Noelle and Peter; brother, Wayne Andersen; and girlfriend, Krystyna Chmurak.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Norrean Andersen.

Memorial calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. during the calling hours. Pastor Bob Wyatt will officiate. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of his ashes will follow at Union Cemetery in Hyde Park.
