Howarth was born and raised in Lewes Beach, Delaware. For almost 30 years, he was as an electrician in Delaware and an private estate caretaker in Gallatin, New York. He loved the beach and body surfing, freshwater fishing, backgammon, and all nature.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Laur; children Bailey Howarth of Hyde Park, Logan Howarth of New York City and Richard Howarth Jr.; and brother Walter Howarth of Sussex County, Delaware.
Howarth was predeceased by his parents, Walter Howarth and Charlotte German, and his siblings Linda Ritter and William Howarth.
Burnett & White Funeral Homes, in Rhinebeck, is assisting with arrangements, but funeral services will be private.
