Olive Leona Camburn, 96, Of Clinton Corners

CLINTON CORNERS, N.Y. -- Olive Leona Camburn, 96, a lifelong resident of the Clinton Corners area, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday June 16, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born Jan. 11, 1920 in Clinton Corners, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Leona Mae (Shook) Ackert Sr. 

On Oct. 13, 1946, she married the love of her life, Newton J. Camburn in Clinton Corners. He predeceased her June 16, 1993. 

Camburn was the owner and store clerk for the Schultzville Store, a staple for the area, and later worked as a store clerk for the Clisis Store. She was the oldest member of the Clinton Alliance Church, the Forever Young Club and the Clinton Garden Club. 

Survivors include sons Jeff (Karen) of Clinton Corners and Gary (Cindy) of Hyde Park; daughter Debbie (Bob) Cribley of Pleasant Valley; grandsons Garrett (Mary), Mark, and Jay; granddaughters Ellen, Jessie, Jamie, Tanya, Brittany, Lori, and Briana; siblings Carolyn Rozelle and Charles (Marge) Ackert Jr.; great-grandchildren Zackery, Gianna, Carter, Chloe, Amanda, Alyssa, Michael, Cheyenne and Arianna; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors in the area. 

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Stanford Cemetery.
