PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. – Nancy Elizabeth Tsoubris of Pleasant Valley died Sunday, April 17. She was 45.
She was born Dec. 22, 1970, at Mount Kisco Hospital. She was raised in Millerton and graduated from Webutuck High School in 1989. She graduated from Fordham University with a degree in art history in 1989. She received her master’s in social work in 1995 from Fordham University, had a license in clinical social work and was a certified nutrition counselor. She worked at Astor Services for Children and Families in Poughkeepsie. She later opened a private counseling practice in Rhinebeck.
The last years of her life were dedicated to her health and being present for her children and husband. A crowning achievement was her running a half marathon with her husband to raise money for Sparrow's Nest of the Hudson Valley, which provides meals to local families dealing with cancer treatments.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Konstantinos (Gus) Tsoubris; three children, Theodore, Elizabeth and Kathleen; her parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Colkin of Millbrook; her siblings, Eileen (Colin) Cuneo of Patterson, Gerald (Rose-Ann) Colkin of Pelham, and Elizabeth (Edward) Clarke of the Bronx; nieces and nephews Liam, Ciara and Patrick Cuneo, Emma, Grace and Nora Colkin, and Ryan Clarke; mother-in-law, Katerina Tsoubris; and sister-in-law, Evangelina Aprilakis, and her children, Konstantinos and Barbara Aprilakis; and many other extended family members.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Theodoros Tsoubris.
Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, April 21, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Millbrook.
